A great array of costumes for World Book Day Yesterday!

We hope our 6th class pupils have a lovely day tomorrow as they make their Confirmation. Míle buíochas to everybody who helped them prepare for this special day, Fr. Seán and Múinteoir Emer in particular. Special thanks also to those who are giving their time to help in the Pastoral Centre this evening and tomorrow.

The halla was full to capacity today when we welcomed some special visitors – our grandparents. We had a lovely cermony with prayers, poetry and songs. Everybody enjoyed a cupán tae & comhrá after. Míle buíochas to Fr. Sean who came along, to the entire staff, our pupils who were excellently behaved and of course…

At his time of year we remember and pray for our loved ones, our neighbours and friends, people in our community and others who have gone home to the care of God in Heaven. Our tree of Rememberance carries the names of family members and friends whom we especially remember this month.

Great fun today. Thanks to the witches for their visit and to the múinteoirí for the show and disco in the hall.

A great celebration in the hall today to say thank you and goodbye to Kelvin. Many thanks to Múinteoir Pól and to all who helped organise the event and for all the kind donations. Kelvin will be greatly missed by children and staff alike.    

Children from 2nd class are busy for their  First Holy Communion and will make their First Confession this Wednesday, March 27th at 7.30 p.m. in the Church of St Patricks and St. Seachnall. Thanks to the children’s parents, Múinteoir Laura and Fr. Declan for their work with the children.

Seachtain na Gaeilge is one of the highlights of the school year here in Gaelscoil na Ríthe. It a time when we celebrate our language and culture.
