Bhí an halla lán go doras ar maidin an 1ú Feabhra, bhíomar ag céiliúradh Lá Fhéile Bríde le cuairteoirí an- speisialta, ár seantuismitheoirí! Bhailíomar le chéile sa halla agus bhí seirbhís beag againn le paidreacha, dánta scéalta agus iomann.   Ba sheans iontach é ár ngrá agus ár mbuíochas a thaispeáint d’ár seantuismitheoirí.    Gabhaimíd buíochas leis na tuismitheoirí a chabhraigh go mór ag dáileadh amach tae agus brioscaí.  B’ocáid an-speisialta é!

We had a very special occasion in the halla this morning. We celebrated St. Brigid’s day with some very special visitors, our grandparents!  We gathered together in the halla where we had a short prayer service with Rang 2 singing some lovely hymns. Children recited some poems they wrote about their Mamó’s and Daideó’s and we showed a short video clip of some grandparents retelling tales of their youth.  We even had a guest singer – go raibh míle maith agat le Michael Moran, Daideo Sorcha i Rang 5 for his great rendition of The Fields of Athenry.

It was a wonderful chance to show our love for and appreciation of our grandparents. We thank the parents who helped to distribute tea and biscuits.  It was a very special occasion! Míle buíochas le gach duine a tháinig agus gur chabhraigh ar an lá.
